Sandra Bullock has revealed a few life-changing events today. First, she’s filed for divorce from husband Jesse James. Not a big shock there. Second, she’s in the process of adopting a 3-month-old baby boy from New Orleans. She’ll raise the child as a single mom, although Jesse is still holding out hope for a reconciliation.
It’s so cool that she’s adopting a baby, but I’m amazed she was able to keep it a secret for so long. The process actually started four years ago, and she and Jesse have had the baby since earlier this year. They wanted to wait until after the Oscars to reveal the news to the world.
"I did not want him brought into a world that would not have been too sincere to him as I wanted,” she said. “I wanted to be alone with him as long as I could, then we had to tell his story.”
Her son, Louis Bardo Bullock, was so named because Bullock heard Louis Armstrong’s ‘What a Wonderful World’ when she first met the baby.
Wow, what a lot of life-changing events for Sandra all at once. She’ll make a great mom, and any child would be blessed to have her for a parent. What a cutie he is, and what a great scoop for People Magazine!

This was a great way for her to turn one huge obstacle into the most wonderful opportunity. I love how this played out for her. I am inspired by how she has handled the whole media ordeal and believe she’s going to be a great mom to Louis.
